Your Help Can Make A Significant Impact in Somebody’s Life – 24/7 Food Bank

At its heart, Sai Dham which is a 24/7 Food Bank was established with the intention of performing communal service. Our desire to grow each year and raise more money to aid people in need is driven by that foundation. The Peel, Greater Toronto Area, and surrounding cities are presently served by the Sai Dham Food Bank, which is open around-the-clock. When the Sai Dham Food Bank learned that low-income seniors had difficulty leaving their homes to visit food banks for food, they identified a need and addressed it. For more than 7 years, Sai Dham Food Bank has been distributing free food directly to senior living facilities. Only this Food Bank is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Sai Dham food bank regularly donates about 100,000 pounds of food to other organizations each month in addition to providing food assistance to elderly, low-income families, homeless individuals, persons with disabilities, and children.

Every month, our food bank provides free home delivery of food hampers to over 1200 families in the GTA, the majority of whom are elderly or disabled. Every weekend in many communities around the GTA, over 2000 homeless persons are given a warm lunch and a bag of goods. Due to the tremendous demand, this program is expanding to more cities. With the assistance of four different schools and over 1200 students, we collaborate with the neighbourhood Peel Public schools to provide daily nourishing meals. We provide our network’s food banks, schools, churches, and shelters with more than 2 million pounds of food annually. These organizations get more than 100,000 pounds of food each month. This 24/7 food bank in Etobicoke is the only food bank with lines open 24 hours a day for emergencies and operating seven days a week.
